We work with this organization which addresses homeless issues involving children.  Utilizing the Promise Grant, we've help to purchase computers, bedding, linens, clothing for children and food.  

However, due to the onset of the Pandemic, our ability to have social functions, especially those involving the children, became impossible.  In addition, the Promise Grant was suspended; but fortunately ENF allowed for splitting of the Beacon Grant and recognizing the needs of children allowed donations to be made. Over the past two years, cash donations have been made in the amount of $2,000.  

Since 2019 the Viera Elks Lodge has made $8,167 in donations.  

Working with this organization also involves addressing the homeless population in our community, and their needs.  Those needs included bedding, linens, clothing and food for residents of the three (3) homes maintained by Genesis House in Melbourne.  

These efforts included having back to school functions, Christmas and birthday parties and picnics.  Sadly, again due to the Pandemic, our ability to have social functions has been greatly impaired. 

However, since we've been able to split the Beacon Grant, we've been able to make direction donations.  Over the past two years, we have made cash donations totaling $8,290 

Helping Brevard schools is very near and dear to us and our community.  Striving to help all children who attend our community schools is another of our goals.  

Utilizing funds from the Gratitude Grant, we have been able to donate $1,500 to this great organization, to date.  

We are looking forward to being able to hold and participate in events in the near future to help our children of Brevard County.
